Martin Johnson House | La Jolla | Ally and Mark’s Micro Wedding Photography

Ally and Mark had an intimate ceremony and reception, and the day was lovely, proving that small parties can be just as fun as big ones. Kellogg Park in La Jolla provided the perfect spot for a first look and some poses before a beautiful ceremony at La Jolla Shores.  We drove to Martin Johnson house for some more portraits before heading to a family backyard for a private and fun reception.

From Kellogg Park‘s website:  Kellogg Park is the large grassy park located at La Jolla Shores beach, this area provides ample space for children to run and play. There is an excellent playground near the boardwalk about 75 yards south of the Lifeguard Station. No alcoholic beverages are allowed. La Jolla Shores has the only beachfront boat launch within the City limits and is a popular area for surf camps, divers and kayakers.

From Martin Johnson House‘s website:

The Martin Johnson House is a historic oceanfront cottage nestled under lush cypress trees with breathtaking views of the Pacific coastline.

Built in 1916, the rustic cottage was one of the earliest additions to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography campus. Once used as a home for Scripps professors and their families, the refurbished cottage and grounds now offer a charming coastal setting ideal for social events ranging from business meetings to wedding receptions.
