US Grant Hotel | San Diego |Celia and Mike’s Wedding Photography

The US Grant is a special place to shoot a wedding.  We had a great time photographing Celia and Mike’s elegant wedding.  Their fun personalities made the day super enjoyable, and we had a good time capturing memories for them.

Words from the US Grant‘s website:

  • Regal and refined, Crystal Ballroom is an elegant banquet hall in the center of downtown San Diego

  • One-of-a-kind weddings occur in our Bivouac Ballroom, featuring stunning architectural details

  • Enjoy the anticipatory services of our wedding planners, who will ensure your celebration’s success

Unveiled in 1927 as the Italianate Ballroom, the ornate space was reserved for San Diego’s elite, and features its own private entrance from the street. Restored to embody its original splendor, the Crystal Ballroom today boasts a black and gold travertine floor, embellished European plasterwork and a hand-painted ceiling.

This signature venue sparkles with four Crystal chandeliers and a romantic fireplace; it is adjoined by a marble-lined reception foyer, showcasing an intricate Spanish Colonial carved ceiling and original bronze entry doors. The Crystal Ballroom is equally elegant for wedding ceremonies and small receptions.

Presenting 3,705 square feet of space, Palm Court is located off of our hotel lobby. Featuring ample natural light from a wall of windows looking out onto downtown San Diego, the Palm Court ballroom pays homage to our hotel’s 1910 open-air Palm Garden terrace designed by Balboa Park landscaper, Kate Sessions. Adding a touch of glamour to this storied venue, the Palm Court also features a stunning collection of nine chandeliers dangling from its 14-foot-high ceilings.

Originally opened as the 1910 Grant Hotel Dining Room, and later transforming into our hotel’s popular coffee shop in the 1950s, the sophisticated ambiance of the Palm Court ballroom today is ideal for an evening or afternoon reception, or a post-wedding day brunch.
